Reuben C. Hepburn, Principal

Dear Dunedin High School Supporters:

For half a century, the faculty and staff of Dunedin High School have worked tirelessly to educate young men and women from our community.  A strong academic curriculum along with a vast array of programs, sports, activities and a highly qualified staff have all contributed to the success of our Dunedin graduates.  In addition, the school’s emphasis on community service helps to instill the values of leadership and responsibility in our Dunedin students as well.

Education is an investment in the future of our community, students, parents and our local businesses which all aspire to high standards. Throughout the last 50 years, the faculty and staff of Dunedin High School have met this challenge by fostering a nurturing and safe environment for its students to grow and develop. The most recent example of this is the class of 2011 which produced two National Merit Scholars, 65 National Honor Society members and numerous other scholarship winners.  Students at Dunedin High School consistently continue to score above state and national averages on the SAT and ACT tests, which is a testament to the high standard of excellence cultivated and nurtured at Dunedin High School.

Reaching this milestone is a distinct honor and privilege for the community, faculty, staff, alumni and students of Dunedin High School, and we will continue this commitment to excellence for another half century.

In order to celebrate this milestone event with the community, Dunedin High School is asking for your financial assistance.  The 50th Anniversary budget exceeds what our school has been allocated for the 2011/2012 school year.  This difficult position is a result of budget cuts that have reduced our ability to finance this celebration.  We need your help, and at the same time, we would like to offer you an opportunity to advertise your business through various activities and events on campus throughout the school year.  Attached you will find a menu of opportunities we can offer in exchange for your financial contributions.  If the choice of services does not meet your needs, we would gladly accept your donations or be happy to discuss any other creative ways that you might be able to assist Dunedin High School including attendance, support or participation in various other activities or athletic events.
